Edward Streker practices mainly in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense, he is also experienced in Civil Rights and Employment law. Mr. Streker was born and raised in Massachusetts. He attended college at Loyola University New Orleans and continued to enjoy the ‘Laissez les bon temps rouler’ lifestyle while earning a J.D. at Tulane Law School. Following Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Streker relocated to Colorado with his now wife Katherine, a Colorado Native.

Mr. Streker first gained litigation experience as a Colorado Public Defender. While employed for the state he handled cases ranging from minor misdemeanor offenses through first degree murder. He honed his trial skills while representing clients from initial status conference through jury trial. He also spent time in courts dedicated to domestic violence and juvenile matters.

Eventually Mr. Streker decided to start a new endeavor and opened Streker Law, LLC. It was while owning his own practice that Mr. Streker began taking family law cases. Over the next 6 years Mr. Streker gained significant experience in divorce, custody, child support, and post decree cases. Although he maintained a heavy family law case load, he continued to practice Criminal Law regularly handling DUI, drug, and domestic violence matters.

In addition to his Family and Criminal law practice, Mr. Streker worked as an investigator for the Colorado Civil Rights Division. He was charged with investigating employment discrimination actions. It was through the investigative process that Mr. Streker honed his employment and civil rights law skills.

Outside of the Legal Practice, Mr. Streker loves making Colorado his home. He enjoys snowboarding, biking, and hiking with his family. He is also an avid reader and travel enthusiast. One major aspect of Mr. Streker’s life is community service. He volunteered in a shelter during Hurricane Katrina, has been involved with the Red Cross, and mentored at-risk youth through the Partner’s Program. Mr. Streker continues to volunteer regularly in his community for various causes.
